LuSplit is designed with a straightforward approach to privacy: your data stays on your device.

Data storage

All expense data, groups, and balances are stored locally on the device where you use LuSplit. There is no mandatory cloud backend. No data is sent to external servers during normal use.

No accounts

LuSplit does not require you to create an account. There is no registration form, no email address, and no password. The app works immediately without any kind of sign-in.

No tracking

LuSplit does not include advertising scripts, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics. The public website uses no client-side tracking by default.

No telemetry

The app does not automatically send usage data, crash reports, or diagnostic information to any server.

Export at any time

You can export all your data at any time as JSON, CSV, or PDF. This is how LuSplit ensures you are never locked out of your own records.

Open source

LuSplit is open-source. The full source code is available for inspection. You can verify what the app does and does not do.

Future sync (optional)

A future version of LuSplit may offer optional cloud sync for multi-device use. If this is introduced, it will be opt-in, clearly explained, and will not affect users who prefer to stay local-only.
